Gunsmithing Repair & Customization Warranty Policy 

We take pride in our gunsmithing services and stand behind our craftsmanship. This warranty policy outlines the coverage for repairs, modifications, and custom work performed by our shop. 

1. Warranty Coverage

We offer a limited warranty on gunsmithing repairs and custom work for 18 Months from the date of service. This warranty covers: 

  • Workmanship Defects: Errors in gunsmithing labor, such as improper fitting, assembly, or adjustment. 
  • Functionality Issues: If a repair or modification fails to perform as intended due to our workmanship. 
  • Parts Installed by Our Gunsmiths: Manufacturer defects in parts we installed (subject to manufacturer warranty). 

2. Warranty Exclusions

This warranty does not cover the following: 

  • Pre-Existing Issues: Damage or defects present before service that may affect function. 
  • Customer-Installed Parts: Issues arising from parts installed by the customer after our service. 
  • Normal Wear & Tear: Firing pin wear, barrel erosion, and general use over time. 
  • Ammunition-Related Failures: Use of reloads, handloads, or non-SAAMI-spec ammunition. 
  • Misuse or Neglect: Damage from abuse, improper storage, excessive heat, or lack of maintenance.  
  • Third-Party Modifications: Alterations by another gunsmith or individual void our warranty. 
  • Cerakote, Bluing, or Coating Wear: Normal cosmetic wear or improper care of finishes. 

3. Warranty Claim Process

To file a warranty claim, follow these steps: 

  • Contact Us First: Email or call us at povertycreekfirearms@gmail.com with a description of the issue. 
  • Provide Proof of Service: Have your original invoice and documentation available. 
  • Ship or bring in the Firearm: 
  • If shipping, you are responsible for sending the firearm in a secure, insured package. 
  • We will cover return shipping if the claim is approved. 

Inspection & Resolution: Our gunsmith will evaluate the issue and determine the appropriate fix. 

4. Resolution Options

If a defect in workmanship is found, we will: 

  • Repair the firearm at no cost (if within the warranty period). 
  • Replace defective parts (subject to manufacturer warranty). 
  • Offer a credit or refund (if repair is not possible, at our discretion). 

5. Liability Disclaimer

  • We are not liable for any incidental, consequential, or personal damages caused by a malfunctioning firearm. 
  • Firearm safety is the owner’s responsibility. Test all modifications before relying on them in self-defense situations. 
  • By using our services, you agree to assume all risks associated with modified firearms.
